Dixie has a certain attraction to heroic types, but those tights are what draw her attention - and she assumes he's a stage performer, not a superhero.

"Who does your costumes?" she wonders.

It's not that far from the truth right now. Steve may physically be a super soldier, but he's not anywhere near the front lines, and hasn't allowed himself to hope for anything more than entertaining.

She raises an eyebrow. "I've heard of having connections in high places, but you've got to be putting me on." Dixie's from the stage; she knows.

"The outfit? Not ... not exactly." Well, there was the near-apprehension of a Nazi spy, and volunteering for the experiment in the first place, but he doesn't think of it as wonderful right now. Just something that had to be done. Well, some things.

Dixie frowns. "The stage wasn't always where I thought I'd end up. As a girl, I thought I'd be a nun." She laughs, shrugs. "The tears I shed over that time were over my husband. But that's all over now," she declares with a laugh and a toss of her hair.
