Ellen got it into her head last night that if she's going to be going around the Wasteland doing things that require power armor to keep her safe, and riding instead of walking, she probably ought to ensure the safety of her mount too. They don't make Brahmin power armor, obviously, but surely she can at least put together some sort of body armor for Shiphrah and Puah. Or design it and have somebody else build it, anyway. She's seen pictures of medieval knights and armored warhorses; how different can it be? A couple of books from the Milliways library on armor, a pencil and pad of paper (it's still so very strange to see so very much smooth white new paper so easily available, and not have to salvage it all!), a table to sit at, and-
Okay, here's the problem. Ellen's really not good at drawing. Not even at copying simple technical images. She's just... it's bad. That is a pathetic-looking Brahmin on the page and the armor she's trying to sketch on it is even sadder.
Dogmeat is on the floor nearby looking like he always does. Probably it's a good thing that he hasn't seen what Ellen is trying to draw yet.
