Carlotta is at the bar, reading a newspaper to catch up on the progess of the war. She has a ginger beer and a plate of biscuits, which she is working through. It takes a lot of calories to be an acrobat.

It's hard to tell if the war is going in their favour. The papers say it is, but how would anyone know? She jots down the odd note, comparing timelines to the war as known in most other worlds, but there's nothing very sigificant today.
