Claudia does not jump. ...Somehow.
"This? Is open beta," she doesn't-really-answer.

"Uh-huh. Of what?"

"Interdimensional communication devices."

"And just how many Farnsworths did you take apart to make that?"

[claudiometer]

"I didn't. --You mean Farnsworths don't do that on their own?" Besides, it's not like there are that many Farnsworths to go around; someone would call her on it sooner than later.
She points at the notice on the bulletin board. "Like I said, dude, open beta."

"Of course it doesn't, why would it--" His complaint dies when he spots the bulletin board. "What is...?"

Excuse Artie for a few minutes, he needs to go read the excessively verbose bulletin.

"Well, they already apparently work everywhere else." And Mr. Farnsworth did have himself some mad-scientist tendencies, not that Claudia knows this yet.

Artie barely hears her. He's too busy reading, mumbling to himself as he does. "Interdimensionally... unless it malfunctions... remember to feed it??"

Yeah, Claudia's been wondering about that part too, even after reading the instructions.
But for now, she's half poking at her new toy and half watching Artie's reaction. Really, she can't make all the shiny objects.

"So you're just casually poking at alien tech now," he says when he finally returns to Claudia. "Alien biotech, at that."

[claudiometer]

"You have a talent for making everything sound bad, you know that?" Srsly, Artie, you might wanna look into that.
"Besides, it's better than sitting around the office waiting for Imelda Marcos' shoe closet to drop on our heads."

"I know, I know, but - he's been quiet and so has everything else. I may not have been around as long as you but I already don't like it being this quiet."
