A small, purple, single-horned hoofbeast is watching this process with great interest. She had no idea that there were so many different kinds of grain-harvesting tool, let alone that one individual would possess all of them at once.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK."

"Hm?" Twilight blinks and looks up. "Sorry, I was just looking at your sickles. I didn't realize there were so many different kinds."

"YEAH I MADE THEM. MOST OF THEM ARE CRAP THOUGH." He sets one, purple and black striped and dripping something thick and sticky, in the "trash" pile.

She has a horn and a sign. And she is a horse. If Equius was here they would all drown in sweat.

Oh hey, Karkat. Sam is setting his backpack down near you for a second. "Your tech is science-based, right?"

He remembers Karkat using largely scientific-ish terminology in describing the bar, so it seems like a good assumption.

"WHAT THE HELL ELSE WOULD TECHNOLOGY BE BASED ON?"

Karkat punctuates this by drawing a sickle made of some purple and black banded metal out of thin are; the hook is angular, shaped like an incomplete hexagon, and thick with something viscous and yellow.

SO SCIENTIFIC.

He politely ignores his question. Any significantly advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, etc. "So do you have some kind of energy-matter conversion system?"

"WHAT? NO, NOT PERSONALLY. THIS IS EXTREMELY SIMPLE APPLIED COMPUTER SCIENCE."

He puts the honeysickle in the "useless crap" pile.

That is a somewhat ridiculous set of piles.

"Where are you even getting all of those from?"

"FROM MY STRIFE SPECIBUS, OBVIOUSLY."

"Not obvious to me," says Ako, "I don't think I've even heard of a specibus before."

"YEAH OBVIOUSNESS IS RELATIVE," he agrees.

He sighs and stops; the sighing is mostly a show, he loves expositing. "I HAVE A SYLLADEX, RIGHT? IT'S A CARD-BASED INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. YOU RETRIEVE STUFF FROM IT WITH A FETCH MODUS, WHICH IS USUALLY A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS> AND THE SYLLADEX LETS YOU SET A STRIFE SPECIBUS, A CATEGORY OF STUFF THAT YOU CAN PULL OUT WITH USING THE FETCH MODUS. MY STRIFE ALLOCATION IS SICKLEKIND. DID THAT ALL MAKE SENSE?"
