The latest 'don't eat the free food' reminder caught his attention first - not that he's ever had a problem with not eating free food, but apparently it trips up the mortals around here. So he didn't think much of it until he found a stray hot dog wrapperThis? Sounds like a slightly bigger problem

(OOC: For plot purposes and also slight doppelganger and the fact that William's gotten rather tangled up in PJOverse.)

William ended up stopping in Milliways after his bartending shift as the fall made his knee hurt.

He's done some slow work in the stables and now is heading towards a table with some books and food, but pauses when he sees the wrapper,

"That's from the kitchen, sir. Caught it on my boot when I was doin' tendin'."

"I'd hope this isn't part of the usual stock. Just plain irresponsible to serve something that actually lists black magic in the ingredients to people who don't know it's coming."
And then he looks up, and does a slight double-take - but he knows it's not Percy (if it were, he'd have to wonder what kind of time-travel-meets-the-Mist shenanigans were going on), so it doesn't last long.

William's used to double takes and nods to the man,

"I don't think it is, sir, they were quite a mess in the kitchen. Do you know Percy or Albus?"

It helps to know who someone thinks he looks like as Percy and Albus' worlds are very different.

"I bet."
Apollo smiles a little. "Percy. Take it you've gotten that one before?"

"Yes, sir. Thanks to an odd sort of flu even though I was Percy for a little while. That caused no end of trouble,"

Though it did help him to meet Thalia and he smiles while leaning on a chair.

"I... bet it did. Especially since I bet his first instinct when he gets sick these days is to find some water and heal it out of himself that way."
Which would work just fine for Percy, but your average mortal? Prooooobably not so much.

"Yes, sir, and it was kind of cold out too. I got stopped from goin' in but made for some strange days."

"I can imagine." Percy's life isn't exactly average even by demigod standards, after all.

"Yeah, I'm glad to know Thalia and Annabeth, sir. They're real nice."

"Yeah, they are." Apollo grins. "So they found the place too, huh? Good to know."
At least there's someone else from his world around. And in a way, he thinks it's a good thing that it's not his more immediate family.

"Yes, sir, they did. I'm glad to consider them both friends,"

Thalia a little more and William blushes and then winces, his knee's not happy with him.

Apollo smirks - he knows that kind of blush. "What, just friends? I don't recommend cutting in on Percy. Don't think he'd appreciate it."
He's mostly joking. Kid could mean Thalia, after all (which could also get complicated, if for different reasons).

William laughs, while blushing redder,

"I ain't doin' that. Thalia and I enjoy spendin' time together is all."

"Well then. I'd tell you you better be nice to her, but I think she can take care of the ass-kicking if you're not."
Family's gotta stick together and all that. Except for when they're pissed at each other.

"She can, she's good at that."

"Dad's kids usually are. Not to mention anyone my sister takes under her wing."
