The door opens, and a kid wearing a NASA t-shirt and a jacket one growth spurt away from fitting properly shoulders his way through in full protective huddle mode. For the few seconds his door is still open, the unmistakable sounds of school bleed through; then it shuts, and he's left to realize that, actually, this isn't one of his classrooms. Or any classroom, actually.
He stares at the bar. Then he takes off his very thick glasses to squint at the bar for a minute. When that fails to yield better results, he puts them back on and stares a while longer.
