The Lake
Having spoken with Thalia about swimming had put him in mind to do just that.
He picks the lake instead of going looking for waterfalls or forest pools - and he keeps a knife strapped to his thigh, just in case the fish-woman shows up. Apart from that - well, elves do not dress up to go swimming.
He grew up within earshot of the surf and with a father named The Mariner and although he lives inland now he is still a strong swimmer. Even if tame water like this makes him miss the waves of his childhood.
After the swim he settles on the rocks to dry in the sun. And to comb his hair.
