He doesn't really... move properly. It's been nearly an hour already, and he's noticeably less... birdlike than he was when they first sat down. But he's still hunched and intense and almost flighty. As if the littlest thing might startle him into flight.

How long has it been since he was anything but birdlike, in physical behavior? How long since she didn't have to watch herself, to make sure she didn't make any sudden movements to startle him?
...or did she ever not do that?
