KK is outside by the the forest, wearing a long t-shirt that she may or may not have stolen from Connor at some point.

She looks surprisingly clean today, if a touch damp. Her hair is still hanging in wet ropes around her shoulders, and her normal clothes are hanging from one of the blades of her bike's propellers to dry. She wears a rare look of

Annabelle is heading back toward the Bar from sword practice when she catches sight of KK. She grins at the sight, bemused. (Probably because she recognizes the shirt.)

"Hey," she calls, heading over. "Haven't seen you in a while."
She's in shorts and a tank top herself, in concession to her workout and the temperature. Her upper left arm bears scars that look, well, like something with way too many rows of teeth tried to take her arm off at some point in the past.

"I've been busy at home, and haven't gotten sucked into this place for a while."

She sits up and squints while her eyes adjust to the brightness.

"I found an exercise room with showers, so I did a little washing."

Don't mind Annabelle, she's just going to pull up some grass and have a seat.

"I thought it might be something like that, but you can never tell for sure with this place," she replies with a grin. Milliways may be the only place in the multiverse where a "day" can be seconds for one person and decades for the bloke in the room next door.

"Nothing like a shower when you've been stuck without one for a while."

"With proper soap and shampoo, it's like a miracle."

They have home made soap, but it's not that great for hair.

"I wish I'd known about it sooner."

Annabelle nods. "I've never found anywhere like that here myself," she says with a shrug. "Mind you, this place doesn't seem to have a floor plan so much as it does a bunch of suggestions," she adds with a rueful chuckle.

"That's true enough. Maybe the place I found hasn't been there until now. Maybe it won't be there the next time I look for it."

If that's true, she glad she found it at least once.

"There's a garage here, too, full of cars--most of them abandoned."

"Been taking them apart have you?" Annabelle teases. Connor may have mentioned a few things about his not exactly family.

"I'm not the only one, but I got some useful bits out of some of them, yeah."

Her thinking is that no one's come to try and kill her, it's all good.

"Things all right with you?"

Funny, that tends to be Annabelle's view on forgiveness versus permission.

"They are," Annabelle replies with a bright smile. Be thankful she's not going to talk your ear off about Connor, KK. "I've got a few friends I'm worried about, but any interventions are going to have to wait on them finding their way here again."

"You like to get involved in other people's worries?"

Sounds like a good fit for Connor.

Annabelle laughs. "I suppose that's one way of putting it," she replies. "I suppose you could say bailing people out of trouble is what I DO, and I'm damn good at it."

Which might explain the gnarly teethmarks on her upper arm, who knows?

"If that's what makes you happy."

She sounds dubious, even though that's what the FreakAngels do on a daily basis.

"What sorts of troubles to people in this place get into?"

"Wouldn't do it if it didn't," she replies with a shrug. She knows that life's not for most people, never mind everyone.

"The nasty, world shaking kind, if my experience is any kind of yard stick," Annabelle replies, serious. "Sometimes the human kind of trouble, sometimes THINGS that are a even worse."

"I've heard some stories about things like that, but I can't say I've had the urge to go and fight any of them."

Thought if she wasn't hiding her powers, she could probably make short work of most monsters.

"Do you hire yourself out for that sort of thing, or do you just learn of it through word of mouth?"

Annabelle's lips quirk a little at the use of the word hire, as that would imply that she's getting paid. (The occasional new weapon or bit of armor that gets looted during the proceedings doesn't count as PAID, right?)

"All word of mouth so far. You make enough friends, and you find plenty of trouble."

"I've seen people hang signs for various services: genius, assassin, thief, spy, mercenary--whatever you need, I'm sure there's someone around here who'd provide it for a price. I thought maybe that was how you paid for your keep here."
