Today, Milliways has caught Katniss walking in the door from a hunting trip. She's still in her hunting clothes and jacket, with her game bag slung over her shoulder.
(She does not have her bow and arrows - those get hidden away in the woods, where the Peacekeepers can never hope to find them.)
Her expression as she realizes where she is is conflicted; it's only been a few days for her since she
met Rue here, and while this isn't her first visit back since then, she's still feeling a little skittish about Milliways. She comes in and closes the door, though, with barely a hesitation. She asks Bar for a knife and a piece of tarp, then finds a discreet corner where she can skin the game without turning anyone's stomachs (unless they get nosy, but if they do, that's their problem, not hers). She doesn't usually do this anymore. Since she started hunting for Gale's family, Hazelle insists on sparing her the extra work. But Hazelle has more than enough to do every day as it is, and thanks to Milliways, Katniss has the time.
The familiarity of the work is soothing. After a while, Katniss starts to relax.
