He was a bit disappointed that his Cubefall selections didn’t include Captain Atom for a third time, but he got why this was the case. It was a day for something new. He could have been a robot, specifically Mercury of Will Magnus’ controversial Metal Men, but he didn’t want to be liquid at room temperature. Katherine Hepburn was a possibility, but not for him. A collie was the animal option, still not that interesting.
And then there was “Native of Bolovax Vik, male.” Eight feel tall, massive and massively strong, looking a bit like a giant hog. And familiar to Charlie as the species represented in the Green Lantern Corps by a big hearted bruiser named Kilowog. It could be quite a wild change to be an entirely different lifeform for three days.
So he made his choice. And was suddenly a lot bigger, wearing overalls and work boots (but no Green Lantern ring, which was just as well).
“Whoa.”
Thus there is a Bolovaxian at the bar today. One who is wearing a blue fedora way too small for his head, so people can recognize him. Maybe.
