Last time around, Cy wanted nothing to do with Cubefall. Being turned into a full robot is one of his worst fears, after all, and being turned back into a full human (male or female) would have been hard to handle. He was and is happy to be who and what he is now

...well, that can't be right.

Because that, you see, is a grizzly bear. Not Belar's bear or some other goofy looking bear. It's a grizzly. And even with all the people changing shape around here, Rachel still has special attention for any shape that resembles her grizzly.

Granted, since it's Cubefall, she is outside and thoroughly avoiding the bar itself. But surely Cy will want some room to run around in his new shape, yes?

Yes, he does. Oh, he ate and then napped, since he's a bit lower energy than usual. But now he's awake and testing his leg muscles. And noticing a scent that seems vaguely familiar.

Probably not to his own, though, as Rachel isn't currently in morph. Rather, after the sudden influx of talking animals and generally altered shapes, she's out on the far side of the lake, sunning herself and flipping the pages of the magazine.

Or she was, before she noticed the grizzly. Now she's watching it closely with a slight frown.

That's her animal, you know. Hers.

Cy lumbers closer. He's not used to his new senses yet, but he's sure there is someone nearby. So he makes his way around the lake. He wonders if he could swim across. He misses swimming. And don't bears swim?

Better to walk. Or to run.

They swim.

The grizzly in particular can't see to save its life, but it can swim.

Rachel frowns a little as it lumbers closer, tensing up. There's no fear like knowing intimately what that sort of animal can do when it feels like it.

If only he knew what the scents from the woman mean. Is she scared? Should she be.

Wait. He does know her.

"Rachel?"

It will never, ever stop being weird that people here can talk using normal animal throats and mouths.

"...yes?"

"Um. Hi. It's Cyborg in here. Er, happy Cubefall?" He hopes he doesn't regret his choice.

The talking white cat was one thing. But this is her grizzly. Talking.

With Cyborg's voice.

"Happy... yeah."

Slowly, Rachel smirks. Just slightly. "Enjoying yourself?"

"Um, so far, yeah. Bar gave this to me as a choice. And I thought it would be good to see what it's like. For you. And Beast Boy."

He can't help think that he's once again offended Rachel when he intended to do anything but. Sigh.

In his defense, it's hard to tell sometimes. Especially since she seems not entirely sure what to do with him as a talking bear.

"How's it going so far?"

"Weird. I haven't been all organic in a long time. So it's two things to get used to. And I don't seem to be as hungry. I didn't expect that." Never mind not having a taste for pie at the moment.

He'll have a taste for garbage if he isn't careful. Side effect of being both an omnivore and something of a scavenger.

Rachel smirks a little, amused. "He's not real energetic unless you make him mad. Maybe you're just not moving around as much."

"Maybe." He lurches about as if he's trying on a pair of pants. "How long did you take to get used to the bear form?"

That's an interesting question, in that it reminds her she's never really explained morphing to him.

So she'll answer with another question: "What exactly are you right now? Just yourself in a bear shape or are you feeling like... grizzly-ish at all?"

He thinks for a moment. There is no hint on his face that he is thinking.

"I think me in a bear shape. And Enzo was just Enzo as a monkey.

"That's not the same thing as it is for you, is it?"
