Not noticing Wiress and Beetee at first, a small dark-skinned figure gets up from her seat by the fireplace and heads for the bar, carrying a tray of dirty dinner dishes.

Wiress was the observer. And thus, she noticed a small, familiar girl walking to the...bar? It took a second or two to recognize her. And then she tugged on Beetee's sleeve.

"Beetee...look..."

Beetee's gaze follows Wiress' and he frowns slightly. No, it couldn't be. And yet. He would recognize her anywhere, at this point anyone from Panem would recognize her. He lifts his glasses to peer at the girl under the frames. "...is it?"

"Has to be," Wiress murmurs. "No one looks like her." And the mannerisms. And the way she wears her clothes.

She tugged on Beetee's hand. "We should...perhaps..." go over to her?

"...go over to her. Yes." Though the thought of it scares him a little.

Sighing, he wraps his fingers around Wiress' and walks with her over to the girl. "Uh. Excuse me."

"Yes?" Rue looks up at both of them. She's never seen them in Milliways before, which means they must be new.

And yet she can't help but feel some small sense of familiarity, of having seen them some place before. Some place back home, perhaps.

He offers a shaking little grin. "Rue, yes?" How, he doesn't know, but it's most definitely her. "You're...uh...looking well."

"Very well," Wiress agreed. "How...how are you..." here? She gestured about the place.

When the man guesses her name she nods; definitely from back home. But she doesn't think she knows him, or the lady that he's with (though she looks familiar, too). So Rue is cautious.

"It's..." Weird? Unbelievable? "...kinda hard to explain.

Do I...know you two?"

"Not exactly, no. We're, uh, we mentor for District 3? In Panem..." She might remember them, she might not. They're fairly quiet, unobtrusive people, really. "Beetee and Wiress. It's a pleasure to actually meet you."

Oh. Oh. Now it clicks, that familiarity. She had seen them- more like caught glimpses, really, during the few times that all of the tributes were together before the Games.

"It's nice to meet you, too," Rue replies politely.

Wiress smiled slightly. "Do you like it here?"

District 11 was a very hard place to live, after all...but there was no family here for her. She hoped it wasn't too lonely for her.

"It's...nice," Rue answers honestly. It's not District 11, it's not home. But it feels homier than it did when she first arrived. "I've made some friends. And I still get to see Katniss."

Beetee's eyes widened behind his glasses. "Katniss? She's here as well?" That could complicate things. Or...un-complicate them. He wasn't sure which. But it was intriguing, either way.

"She comes in, sometimes," Rue answers. "She-" Rue chokes up, unable to speak around the lump around her throat.

Katniss is one of the ones allowed to leave, who isn't Bound.

Wiress makes a small sound in her throat and gets down on one knee, placing her hands very lightly on the girl's arms.

"I'm sorry," she says softly, looking into the girl's face. "It's...it must be...so very difficult."

This was an understatement, of course...but sometimes things just needed to be said.
