John Munch is understandably nervous as he enters Milliways tonight. After all, the last time he tended bar on a holiday he'd ended the night knowing how it felt to be a Muppet.

But when he steps through the door and sees that nothing about him has changed, he breathes a sigh of relief and heads for the bar.

"April Fool's isn't really a holiday where I'm from. Could I get a mulled wine since I'm cold."

Munch nods, giving Sam a quick look over. "Lemme guess; Bar or the Landlord's handiwork?"

"Yes and its odd,"

His trousers keep slipping down and the gold just feels weird.

[blowupthefloats]

"Hey, at least you were lucky enough to stay flesh and blood," points out the bartender as he slides over the requested mulled wine.

"True, for one holiday I had a mechanical arm. Thank you,"

That was actually sort of fascinating.

"You're welcome."

[makesthings]

"What's the weirdest thing you've ever been changed into?"

[blowupthefloats]

"A puppet."

[makesthings]

"That sounds strange even for Milliways."

[blowupthefloats]

"Oh, believe me, it was."

[makesthings]

"What kind of puppet were you?"

[blowupthefloats]

"I'm pretty sure it was what's known in my world as a 'Muppet'."

"I've never heard of one of those."

[blowupthefloats]

"They're a bit difficult to explain," John admits. "They were created by a man in my world named Jim Henson. Some looked like animals, some looked like monsters and others looked like exaggerated versions of human beings."

"Huh, and they're pretty well known on your Earth?"
