Ginny is walking by and Arnold senses him and makes his purring sound.

Tiny purple fluff ball. Correction. Pygmy Puff.

Edward does at least happen to glance in that direction.

It's not the common sound made when his presence is noticed now.

Arnold makes a purring sound as Ginny looks over trying to figure out what he's purring at.

"Oh, Hello Edward" She said softly

There's a light nod, maybe a touch too formal and weary.

"Good afternoon, Ginny."

"How are you doing? Arnold I think wanted to said Hi"

T.he puff on her shoulder purrs and bounces a little

"It's a school day on the other side." The first in a while. Maybe it'll just sound like a hard one.

His gaze shifted to the tiny bouncing purple creature again. A tiny creature somehow completely obviously to the reaction all other animals had to his kind.

Not exactly reluctant or excited, "Hello, Arnold."

"Ugh, school." It's all that needs said as one school kid to another.

"If you're busy I can take Arnold away."

Arnold bounces off her shoulder to him. He's all fluff, eyes, and tongue no brain really

Edward watched him first land on the table. "It's fine."

It's a few seconds late, as though only remembering that perhaps he should do something, when he turns over one of his hands on the table while holding it out. Slow. And then holds it very still.

There was a glance to the girl though. "And your day?"

Arnold hops in to his hand and purrs licking at his fingers.

"It's okay was just getting school supplies. And your day."

"Make-up tests." Isn't exactly a lie.

He's watching the tiny purple puff oddly.

"What kind of supplies did you need?"
He does remember what her school is.

"I hate those, had to take a bunch those for last year."

Arnold purrs and looks up at him and then blinks a little.

"Stuff for potions, new books, and new robes."

It's a strange little thing. Fluffy is not exactly a descriptive term you could use for anything Edward owned. Or ate, really, either.

Alice would have cooed in adoration at it.

Edward methodically picked up his other hand and pet it with a finger. "New year or simply supplements for the current one?"

[missginnytonic]

If possible the fluffy ball purrs louder when he's petted. Ginny can get more fluff balls if needed.

"New year, so I need to get new everything, because newt eyes don't last over the summer."

There's a small glance.

"How does this school of yours work?"

[missginnytonic]

She nods slowly.

"Yes, I'm better now then when I started. And I am rather good at Transfiguration's."

Arnold is now licking his fingers. The fluff ball has no manners.

It's a little strange. Definitely different. Even if Edward's brow furrows uncertainly he's thinking it isn't too far far off from several small pets. Right? At least before the tiny size and color?

"What do you transfigure?"
