Natalie didn't sleep badly, per se. She's used to functioning on very little sleep. She's also used to strange dreams and the odd hallucination.

But she hasn't dreamed of her classmates in years and it just strikes her as...odd.

Which brings her here: a booth in the bar, frowning slightly at her cup of coffee.

Adrian was on his way to a booth along the far wall, the houndeye pup Mrs. Wilson at his heels. He happened to spot the lone sitter, though, so he turned for just a moment to get a better look. "You doin' okay, ma'am?"

(He's wearing his fatigues; he doesn't have much else in the ways of clothing. Even his civvies look like something you'd wear on a military base.)

"Yeah, just..."

She turns her head, gaze dragging down to the houndeye then up to Adrian's face. (She's in a dark blue flight suit, sleeves rolled up to her elbows.)

"...thinking too hard.

You know you've got a friend following you?"

"Yeah, that's my pup," says Adrian. "Ain't got a whole lot of Earth dogs back home no more so I caught this one on a huntin' trip when she was little, figured I'd see if we could tame 'em. Might come in handy one day. Mrs. Wilson, sit."

It does so, and blinks. This is an impressive sight given that it means the whole front end basically blinks at once.

"Good girl."

Natalie blinks back, much less impressively

"Very good girl."
