Multipup dinner post
In the downtime after a full day of work, Sarah Black, Lateri Xuh, and her rooster (waitaminute, shouldn't that be ███████, Evil Chicken, and his "human"?) are gathered at a table, eating dinner.
Well, not Lateri, she is ignoring her food and drawing something.
"You have an odd way of sketching things," Sarah comments, as Lateri completes the drawing in a manner reminiscent of a laser printer. "How do you do that? Don't you lose track of what you are drawing?"
She only gets "Shush!" from Lateri, much to her consternation.
When the drawing is completed, she shows it off to Sarah.
Sarah turns to the rooster and raises an eyebrow. "The Man in the Maze?"
Lateri responds, "Yes, there are several altars to him in the basement of that Tower of Life that is being built in Kandarin. Supposedly he has been kidnapping people as well."
"Huh." Sarah gets up and starts walking toward the the stairs.
"Hey, where are you going?" shouts out Evil Chicken. Lateri, oddly, looks surprised and covers her mouth, as if surprised by the sound of her voice.
"To the libraries. Books might help." Sarah responds. She learned the catalog system here well during her fruitless search for the book that gossiped about her to Mr. Price. There seemed to be good information on other gods and demigods, though.
"Libraries?" Evil Chicken asks.
Sarah returns with books on indigenous cultures of the American southwest and a picture book about labyrinth iconography in various earth societies.
Interesting.
