Lawton has been coming into this bar more often than it seems, considering time for him back home isn't going as fast as it is in here. After all, he's got no reason not to come into a magical bar where the booze flows freely and there's no shortage of entertainment, and he can eat something that isn't eggs.

A black-clad hand reaches over Lawton's shoulder to reach for the cigarette.

"You really wanna lose that?"

It's not even a threat, it's an honest question. It might be contrued as a warning, though. Along the lines of 'what kind of idiot tries to take a cigarette from a nicotine-addicted sharpshooter'? But them's too many words.

The hand doesn't move. Though a slender finger extends to tap the cigarette. It's almost a curious sort of gesture.

The cigarette moves into Lawton's mouth and he inhales through it. Other than that, he doesn't move.

"You tryin' to tell me that you're waging a war on smokin' now as well?"

Frigging Batfolk.

The hand flattens out and the wobbles back and forth. It's a scolding gestures.

Smoking is bad for you!

"Yeah, I'm going to die of lung cancer."

Lawton exhales his smoke, up past his face, and presumably in the direction of the face belonging to the hand.

Yeah, that's right, he just blew smoke in her face.

Because he's a villain.

He probably doesn't wash his hands, either.

Fortunately she has her mask in place, and it has very good filtration hardware.

She steps to the side, letting herself slip into his peripheral vision. It's easier to get a read on him from there, and it gives her more ways to communicate than just her hand.

And here's the thng about getting a read on Lawton.

You can't. Not emotionally, in any case. He's a complete emotinoal blankslate.

"Heard you went blonde."

What? He watches the news.

There's a slight frown on Cass' face under the mask. He's... very still. Where most people wear their emotions on their faces, he's got... nothing.

She shrugs as if to say how can he tell?

He returns the shrug. Only without actually moving, which is quite the skill.

"I dunno, I like this look better. Brings the emphasis back to your curves."
