"Coming right up," says Ianto and chooses a pot from the several he has brewing behind the bar.

"Ganymede, isn't it? I think we met once, a long time ago."

Ianto chuckles dryly. "In the last ... year? A great many things have happened, some good, some bad, and now I work parttime at the bar at the end of the universe."

He gives Ganymede his coffee and adds, "The name's Ianto, by the way."

One teenager (firmly sixteen. black shirt, cuffed jeans, and blue knit cap) sits at the bar and folds her hands over the counter top, and orders:

"May I have one café au lait, please?"

"You may," says Ianto and goes about making one for her.

"Thank you."

And she goes about picking up her book of Rilke and reads.

After a few minutes he sets the cup in front of her, complete with a biscotti (because he likes giving those to people) and says approvingly, "I love Rilke."

One grumpy, fractious and somewhat tired almost-teenager dumps her milkshake glass on the bartop before clambering onto one of the stools.

"Can I get a refill?"

Molly pauses. "Please."

(One ear of her bunny hat has a silver Security badge neatly affixed to it.)

"Sure." He eyes the glass. "What was it originally?"

"Triple-chocolate milkshake."

He gets a tired wave. "Guess I need the sugar."

"All right..." He scratches his chin thoughtfully. "It's been a long time since I've made a milkshake, but it can't be that difficult, can it?"

Triple-chocolate...chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup and ... one more thing.

"Coffee sounds good," Axel says, as he slides into a stool. "Make it spicy, but other than that, surprise me."

Grin.

"Spicy coffee, eh?" says Ianto.

He can do that.

In a few minutes Axel has a cup of coffee smelling of cinnamon and fennel.

Axel inhales deeply, taking in the smell, before taking a sip, and smiling.

"Nice."

Ianto looks pleased.

"Thank you."
