Yes, yes he was happy for Annie and her new job. Really. It was nice for her to get out and about, and enjoy something resembling normal. Even though it was only under the table work at the pub technically. Still more money for the flat.
But did she have to talk about it. every. second. she. was. around??? It was driving him up the wall. And Mitchell just stepped out so no help there.
George gave a silent thank you when the door to Milliways turned up again, and immediately went to the bar to flop onto a stool. It was early for a pint so he just asked for some tea and a fry up. The moon wasn't yet far off so his appetite was up more. Senses too for that matter, though he wasn't sure if those completely turned off these days as he adjusted more to his wolfy side.
"I can't believe I have to come to a pub to escape from hearing about somebody prattling on about another pub." Rather ironic perhaps.
