For once, Mary's not poring over her own world's history as she sips at her tea. Instead, she's shuffling through a few densely-detailed sheets of paper, and frowning.

(Close observers will note that the paper is digital, and does not look like anything that has yet been invented in 1911.)

She ought to send Mr. Tam a note in response, and to tell him what she has been thinking about - but how on Earth (or off it) is one meant to get a letter out to Newhall?
