Ellen's going to go back to her world very shortly, but in the meantime she's got to replace a weapon she gave to Finn dan Shahar. You don't just up and take back a flaming sword, after all. Fortunately she knows just where to find the parts. She's earned a good few bottlecaps working on cars in the garage below Milliways, and she's seen some very definitely abandoned vehicles. When all that's left are parts covered in dust, that counts as abandoned.
She left notes directing the owners to her tab anyway, just in case.
Anyway, if you were wondering why there's a grey-haired Korean-looking girl in a blue and gold jumpsuit hunched over a motorcycle's teardrop-shaped fuel tank, muttering to herself as she works at joining up a bunch of tubes and cables to what looks like not only the bike's handbrake but a rather large lawn mower blade... that's why.
