Connor stumbles through the door. He wasn't watching where he was going, but was instead intent on reading a compass.

When he looks up, he smiles. "Oh, brilliant. Milliways again!"

He likes this place. It's like a con with cosplay, but it's all real. It's a geek's dream come true

Speaking of cosplay (or not) --

There's a woman in what looks like pretty authentic Wonder Woman paraphernalia sitting at a nearby table.

She's even got a lasso that looks nothing like yellow rope.

She's also looking up at him and smiling warmly.

"You're another one with no control over your door?"

...Oh. Wow.

He'll just gape sweetly for a moment. He'll answer soon.

"Hi. I mean, yes. I mean-"

He's talking to Wonder Woman.

"Hi. I'm Connor."

"Hello. I'm Diana."

She smiles up at him and stands, in order to be in a better position to shake his hand.

"I've got an intermittent door, too. It hasn't inconvenienced me so far, but I suspect one day it might."

He's shaking Wonder Woman's hand.

Oh wow.

If only Duncan and Tom would believe him...

"Hasn't it? I heard sometimes you can get stuck. So far, so good."

"I haven't had the misfortune to be Bound yet, myself. I can't say I'm sorry about that."

There's a twist of humor in her voice.

"Do you know anyone that has?"

"No. Well, I don't think so. I've only been a handful of times."

"Me, too."

Her smile broadens, ending in a half laugh.

"I wonder how many of us are in the same boat?"

"Maybe a lot? I've met so many different kinds of people."

She's so beautiful. And she could kick his ass with both hands tied behind her back.

She's not unlike Abby in that way...

"That seems all to the good, then. Are there others from your world here?"

Diana has met several, though all of them seem to be from different times.

She is unsure whether or not that is common, too.

"No. No way."

"Wait, does that happen? It's not just one person from one place at a time?"

"It's happened to me a few times, but -- "

Her smile turns wry.

" -- these kinds of circumstances aren't anything most of my friends aren't already acquainted with. Which helps."

"I hope no one from my team wanders through the door. They'd think I was holding out on them."

[themysciradiana]

Diana raises an inquiring eyebrow.

"Well. Are you?"

[leconnortemple]

"I... hadn't looked at it like that. But. Maybe? I haven't mentioned it because they'd think I was barking mad."

[themysciradiana]

Diana smiles faintly.

"Well, then if they do come here, maybe you can explain it like that. I can't guarantee that will work, but -- "

She shrugs, loose-limbed and easy.

"I also don't think anyone wants to end up in a madhouse."

"No," he shakes his head vigorously.

"So, um, what do you do in your world, Diana?"

If he could smile any wider, his face might split in two.
