Why halo thar, Milliways. It's been a while for Ramon. After all the trouble, and the resulting surgery, and the cells and then the recuperation, he didn't feel much like coming in. Mary Anne grins.
"Don't you look good."
Reply
Though he does, and knows it. He grins back and pours her a drink.
'Better than the last time you saw me, I'll agree. How're you?'
Reply
She takes a sip of the tequila. "Where've you been to get a tan like that? Your island?"
Reply
There was trouble. When isn't there?
'Had enough of this place for a while.'
Reply
"Sounds like quite the vacation."

He picks up his drink so that he doesn't have to think about what he's saying.
'I was laid up for a while. And then I just couldn't be bothered coming back. Weather's better in the Bahamas.'
As his tan no doubt demonstrates.
'Where've you been? Never see you around any more.'
Reply
"Around; just don't come in here as much as I used to.
Not as many of the old crew around, you know?"
Reply
At them, not with them, obviously. But he shrugs, accepting that she's got a whole new life now.
'Still in Greece?'

"I just need to get back into the swing of meeting new people. Throw a mixer or something," she jokes.
"Most of the time, yeah. Kicked over to Italy for a bit for the shopping and the food and the ability to punch some mafia guys."

They seem like dicks. And he likes punchng people.
'You should throw a party. I'd come.'
Beat.
'Though that might put people off from coming, I imagine.'
He seems very pleased about this.

He grins, thinking of all the shit he could talk about the people he's met recently.
'You should invite me to both. Then all the offended people can go have have a pity-party afterwards and complain about what bastards the old-timers are.'
And possibly there could be a fight between the two. He'd enjoy that.
Reply
"And how they're never going to be us when they grow up."
Reply
He thinks back to some of the shit that used to go on; the fights, the duelling gods, the curses and magic and drunken nights - it's not like that now.
Except the fights. For him, they're still a regular occurence.
'If something happened to this place, I can't think of anyone new that'd be able to step up.'
Reply
"See, that's just proof we can't ever quit showing up. Who's gonna hold this place up to such high standards?"
Reply
'Well, I wasn't planning on leaving but you're right, I couldn't without knowing it'd be left in unsafe hands.'
Beat.
'There's a Scotsman around who thinks he's up to the job. You should meet him, put him in his place. He's a bit too full of himself.'
