Parker decided to swing into Milliways tonight for two reasons. The primary one is to see if Meg is around, and find out if there is any news on Alain. The much more secondary one is to grab some dinner. The food at the Tumbling-A is great, but it doesn’t vary much from Down Home / Tex-Mex cooking

Meg is smiling.

"Did you get my note?"

Parker looks over at Meg, and beams. And fishes the note out of her pocket.

"I did. Bar barely let me get on a stool."

Not that Parker cares. That's news well worth getting quickly.

"You look a lot better."

"It's the matching clothes, right?"

Meg takes the barstool next to Parker's.

"I feel a lot better.

"He's going to be okay."

"The last outfit was pretty...spectacular."

Even for the 80s.

Parker turns in her seat, resting her elbow on the back of the stool.

"I'm glad. Beyond glad. What's beyond glad? Jubilant. Euphoric."

"He's awake and everything?"
