Data is in the bar with his cat today, occupying one of the booths. Spot is standing on the table with his face in a bowl of (apparently delicious) cat food, next to which is a datapad that his owner is currently studying

When Spot notices that he and his owner are being watched, he focuses on the person who is watching. His tail whips from side to side, and his fur threatens to stand on end.
Data notices the change in his cat's behavior. "What is it, Spot?" he asks, then glances towards where the feline seems to be looking.
He is distracted by the girl he sees sitting there. "Hello," he greets.
"I was, before hollowed and broken, and remade with vitriol of stolen lives." The vampire smirks. "Seduced and tricked, devoured; denied oblivion for accursed eternity."
"I see," is Data's only reply at first. His expression is mostly blank, but something subtle in it indicates that he does not approve.
Spot's fur is raised by this point. He stretches his legs, and Data lets him step out of his arms. The cat does not hiss, but arches his back. Data glances back at the girl. He finds Spot's reaction interesting, but perhaps also predictable.
Still, Data does not see any reason to be rude. "May I ask what your name is?"
His disapproval is noted, but the vampire does not pay it any mind.
It is not like she has any real option in her diet. "Little Bliss called me Amara. When I was turned and broken, my name fell somewhere into the darkness."
"Amara," Data repeats, as if confirming. He blinks then, remembering himself. "I apologize. I did not introduce myself properly. I am Lieutenant Commander Data, of the starship Enterprise."
Spot remains tense. He seems afraid of the girl coming closer.
"Space travel does not exist in your world?" Data asks.
Spot decides to retreat. He seems much more relaxed on the cushion beside Data, with his owner between him and the vampire. Still, two yellow eyes continue to peer warily, just visible over Data's legs.
The cat probably will be uncomfortable with a dead thing watching.

He is just starting to notice that the girl has an odd respiratory pattern. Odd, in that she does not seem to have one that he can observe.

"Are you human?" he asks finally.

"You are... 'undead'?" he asks. "Or something else?"
It was the only term that came to mind.

A bit of the wariness returns, however, when he asks, "You feed off of the blood of humans, then?"
