It's been some time since Mordin saw this place last- two years and change, although he could probably give you the exact amount of subjective time if he really cared to do so. He's had a fruitful and productive day of dismantling and disabling unwelcome listening devices while cell samples to be used against the Collectors replicated.
The room full of toys? Not really what he expected to be seeing.
