Eragon slumps into the Bar from the woods. He's been out there searching for Answers. But there has been none forthcoming. He's found lots of interesting things -the demon bunnies were a bit too interesting - as well as just normal woods things

This sounds like the setup from an old adventure game. Well...here's a likewise twist for you.

A werechicken appears!

Tall as a man and looking strong. Beak, brown feathers, teeth, etc. It appears to have been lured over by the scent of the outdoors all over the guy. So, you have a monstrous chicken looking you over.

"Brakk, bock bock!"

What do you do?

Eragon jumps up, his hand going for his sword.

But he has not a sword.

The Ancient Language is on his lips.

But... it's a chicken. A chicken I tell you, a Giant CHICKEN!

"What?!"

That's what the last guy said. The chicken's nostrils are workin' at the dirty outdoor smell, making its vicious bock-bock noises. Yes, it's a giant chicken, but if you think Yakka, Wakko, and Dot are around the corner, you got another thing coming.

In Milliways bar, chicken eats you? Better hope not. Of course, one might be inclined to note the little window nearby regarding something called 'Cubefall'.

At least Eragon didn't say it out loud? He doesn't know about the Warner siblings.

"What?" he says again. Clearly on repeat.

He probably won't find it in front of the fireplace. Tavi's sitting there, on the floor, and he's taking up quite a lot of space. A bunch of tables and chairs have been pushed out of the way to clear a large enough flat surface to spread out his map of early-twentieth-century Earth, with a map of Alera under it.

He has a couple books near him and one open on the floor, a marker in his mouth, and Risk pieces and Lego minifigs scattered all around.

He might, possibly, be getting in Eragon's way.

Eragon crunches a few of the minifigs under his boot as he tries to get around Tavi.

For this he gives the other boy a glaring look. How dare he lay those things around where Eragon could step on them?!

Tavi goes very still. He hopes those minifigs are okay--they're kind of hilariously fun to play with. (Tavi is such a geek, really.)

He slowly looks up. It's a long way up, with Tavi on the floor and Eragon already easily over half a foot taller than he was. However, the distance doesn't change the nature of the look.

His eyebrow is arched, his chin slightly tilted to one side and up, and his eyes are bright and a little hard. Other than that, his face is utterly expressionless.

It's a look he's either got genetically or has learned, by now, from Sextus--because it is cold, contained, and surprisingly imperious.

Tavi should probably never be allowed near a LEGO store. The minifigs will probably need replacing.

Sadly the imperious look is completely missed by Eragon who sees it as some sort of mistaken awe.

Yeah. Really.

"You shouldn't leave your toys all over the place," he says.

There was a tsking sound, and the sound of hooves tapping across the wooden floor.

"Somebody had a tumble in the woods all alone? Well, well poor boy."

There's a spin and a near fall, away from Pan as Eragon's eyes go wide.

He'd almost forgotten about the god.

Drat.

"Not a tumble."

"Not a good tumble at any rate, you could have earned those marks in a better way."

Of course him being a god, he certainly hasn't forgotten about this one. Oh no.

"And how do go your lessons of late, eh? Such a pity you haven't graced the place with your presence sooner. Not hiding were we?"

Eragon is hard to forget for a lot of people, no matter how hard they try.

He lifts his chin up, "I was exploring," he says.
