The lovely lady who is sitting at the Bar has a cream-colored slip of a sundress, a coy smile, and a slender flute of pink lemonade.

(What? Not everything has to be alcoholic.)

If she sees you, she is likely to smile-- but exceptions will certainly be notified.

Will nods to her, he'd smile but he has a bruise on the side of his face that makes that painful. She doesn't look familiar, but she looks happy and that is always nice to see.

Aphrodite's eyes widen in concern as soon as she catches sight of the bruise.

"Oh!" she says.

"What happened to you?"

Poor cute boy!

"Won a fight, milady."

He has a definite gleam of satisfaction in his green eyes, it hurt but he won.

Her expression relaxes into something a little more like a small, proud smugness.

Sometimes she is Aphrodite Areia, the Warlike, and even though she is never driving that ridiculously good-looking meathead's chariot ever again ... she can appreciate occasional violence.

"Well," she murmurs, taking a sip from her glass.

"Good for you. I guess I wouldn't want to see the other guy, would I."

"Nay, ye wouldna, milady, but can promise ye that 'is beatin' was well deserved. Me name's Will Scarlett."

Carefully since he's bruised in some not visible places, Will gives her a sitting bow.

She laughs, warm and rich.

"I'm sure," she assures him.

"I'm just delighted, Mr. Scarlett. Idalia Dionaea."

"Just Will, milady an tis a great pleasure to meet ye."

Her laugh makes him try to smile again which hurts.

"--Careful," she cautions, concerned expression returning.

She's soon smiling again, however.

"Can I buy you a drink, Just Will? Hail the conquering hero?"

"I'd be grateful for that, milady. Though I'm na that much o''ero just fightin' for me 'ome."

He blushes slightly, she's beautiful and he'll never really get used to being called a hero.

"For your home?"

That piques her interest.

She can order him something in a moment.

"You're a soldier, then."

"Nay, milady, I'm na though aye, I do fight for Nottingham. Tis rather complicated."

Will's gotten better at explaining about how things are, but he always worries, after all he is an outlaw.

"Oh?"

She smiles.

"I love complications. Tell me what you'd like to drink, and then we can see if I get it."

"You heard him, Miss Bar," Aphrodite says pleasantly. The drink appears, and she hands it to him gently, with all the care the operation clearly requires.

"... Yes," she adds, after a moment. "I know that story ... he's the boy who grew up to be Robin Hood, isn't he?"

Perhaps 'story' would be a belittlement coming from somebody else.

But Aphrodite knows better than a lot of people exactly how real a story can be.

"Aye, milady. Tis me great 'onor to serve 'im in Sherwood. 'e brings such 'ope to Nottingham an all o'us."

Will nods as he takes the drink and enjoys a nice long sip, the burn feels good.

Aphrodite smiles, gentle.

"Hope," she murmurs curiously.

"Is that what he brings?"
