Shufti is on duty in the main bar, her badge clearly visible.

She's also trying out an interesting purple drink the bar gave her. And discreetly sewing name labels onto a small school shirt under the table; but don't take that to mean she's any less aware of her surroundings.

Fiona wasn't planning on coming back to the Bar just yet, but when a Door appeared in the ladies' room at the hospital, she took.

She does stop by the restroom to freshen up. She has blood all over the front of her shirt still, caked and dried brown stains where she held him while he changed.

Her first thought is to go take a shower, but then she sees the woman from Security, and another wave of rage, white hot and intent, sears through her.

"You're Security, right?"

Shufti looks up, and nods.

"Yes, can I help you?"

She puts the shirt down - with that much blood there could be something going down right now.

"I need to file a report. Someone attacked Ramon Salazar."

Fiona doesn't seem to be agitated, but she is furious. She grabs one of the chairs and spins it around backwards before straddling it, getting right up close to Shufti. Her voice is low and intent.

"Someone assaulted him to the point where they triggered his shape shifting defense mechanism."

Shufti flicks out her notebook and a dictophone. Fiona looks like she might be going to make this report at speed.

"Is he safe now?" she asks first, in case they need to get him some medical attention before the report.

She's not exactly Ramon Salazar's fan, but you can't have a rule for some and not for others.

"Yeah, I took him to hospital on my world. Listen, I need to know you're not going to spread the details of this around. I need this to be confidential."

"I don't spread Security details outside of Security, unless it's something that needs to involve management or puts others at risk." Shufti says. "And any details I share will be those necessary to help deal with the case. Will that do, or do you mean within Security?"

"No that's fine. It's just --"

She's glaring a hole in the table top now. Her voice drops to a quiet, intense whisper.

"The back of his trousers were sliced open, including the leather belt. Whoever assaulted him had other intentions. I don't know if it's well known, but Ramon has the ability to shape shift into the form of a panther when he's under extreme duress. Whoever tried to -- they're probably dead now. And I want it on record as self-defence."

Shufti's eyes narrow at that, and she does indeed note it down.

"I'm sorry such a thing had to happen to anyone here. Do you know if they were successful?" she asks, keeping her voice low too.

Fiona's eyes narrow as well. Whoever it is, if they aren't dead, she's going to have their guts for garters.

"He was still dressed when he transformed back. So no, they weren't successful."

"If he has killed someone, we will still have to investigate and may well need to take action." Shufti says. "But if he and the evidence confirms what you just said, it should be self-defence."

She taps her notepad with her pen. "However, I need to know more details about this fight. It can't have happened in the main bar, because we'd have seen it, so it must have been outside. Was he jumped, or was this a brawl taken out back that went too far?"

"You know everything that I know. He came back to my room, covered in blood, still in cat form. I thought -- " For the first time her voice breaks. "Anyway, when he transformed, his face was smashed, his nose broken, his lips split, and his gut and groin had been pounded."

"He was still recovering from an accident, and again, this is also confidential. He got stepped on by his horse a few weeks ago, and had his groin crushed. Whoever it was that attacked him, knew about that or figured it out quickly, and used it to subdue him. And even that didn't make him transform. It's obvious that the last thing that happened before he changed was that -- slice."

"If you do find a body, you'll see that it was the cat that killed him."

[vs_nuggan]

"We'll get looking for one." Shufti says.

"Tell me more about Ramon. Do you know who his enemies might be here? He has quite a reputation, that much I know."

"He has a lot of enemies, but I can't think of a single I know of that's stupid enough to try to force themselves on him."

"Look, you have what you need to know. If I hear anything more, I'll let you know. I need to get some things from my room and get back to the hospital. You want me to bring you the pants and the belt, as evidence?"

"Yes please, but wait a moment, we're not done. I need your name and a list of his known enemies."

"I'm Fiona Glenanne. And if were to give you a list of known enemies? We'd be here all night. I'm in room number four, but I'm leaving the bar to go back to my world right now. Better to leave a note with the bar if you need me."

She starts to leave and stops again.

"If those little details get out and around the bar, there will be hell to pay. I'm trusting you to keep his secrets like you would anyone else's."

"If a crime has been committed against Mr Salazar, it will get the same treatment as any other patron." Shufti says.

"Just tell me who he's pissed off recently, then? Or ask him when he's well enough who has grudges from the last six months. Please ask him to come and see a member of Security when he's back."
