Ellen was out exercising her dog and checking on her two-headed cows when the dog in question took it into his head to run off after a squirrel. Thus she finds herself in an area she doesn't normally approach, and catches sight of the pyro and the tree.
"... Harold, if that's you or Herbert, one of you needs to behave," she says at the sight. She seems to think this makes sense.
