"Ho, Edward." Bonzo looks at the bill. Not the details, but the lengthy-ness of it. "Ick."

"I've seen worse with just one of my sister's shopping for a day," Edward said, glancing up to the man.

[mandercommander]

"I hope she didn't drag you along for the trip." Bonzo offers. "She have expensive tastes? Or just like to buy lots of stuff?"

"They both do." Beat. "To all of the above."

[mandercommander]

Bonzo winces sympathetically. "It's so much simpler when the Bar does the shopping..." Or the IF, for that matter.

"They'd missed the sport in that. Alice especially. "

[mandercommander]

"...there's a sport?" Pause. "I guess even torturers have fun somehow..."

If you can guess, somebody didn't enjoy shopping when his mother dragged him along.

"It's one of her favorite pastimes."

Bonzo nods. "I know you like going out in the woods. What else do you like doing?" Since they're on the topic of vampiric past times, it comes to his mind to ask. Only after he thinks of that does it hit him that he hadn't done so before.

Edward smirk just barely. A quirk at the edge of his lips turned upward, with a shake of his head.

"Me, personally? Or my family, in general?

The vampires as they are. The ones he doesn't know at all about.

"You personally." Pause. "I haven't met your family, so..." Shrug. "I'm curious about them, but...I don't know them so I guess I'm less curious."

Edward can understand that idea.

He doesn't care about most of the minds in his.

He considered it for another moment, before continuing with, "My family would say cars." Though it's not the first thing Carlisle or Esme would bring to mind.

"Cars? Like...driving them?" Bonzo pauses for a moment, thinking. "I don't think I've ever driven one."

[themidnightson]

"Buying them, driving them, fixing them," Edward shrugged a some consideringly. "A little bit of everything involved in them over the years."

[mandercommander]

"Any sorts in particular?" There are many side-effects of growing up in space. This is yet another one: He virtually never saw cars from when he was six until he was in his teens. "And...they still burn gas in your world, don't they?"
