Jack waves at her across the bar.

"Pizza's tastier," he says cheerfully. "Or I think we have nachos coming, if you want?"

"There can be nachos," Sam agrees. "Or I think there's chocolate still in the box."

Jack grins encouragingly.

"Hey. I'm Jack, he's Sam. We're really pretty harmless, and the food's all from Bar, so."

Sam offers her an easy-going smile. "Jack's less harmless if he's caffeine-deprived, but I've lost count of the number of Red Bulls he's drunk this afternoon so you're probably okay."

"Highly caffeinated energy drink," Jack says. "Probably horrific for you, but I feel great!"

"Yeah, but they won't kill you," Sam reminds him.

"...Admittedly, me neither, but I don't like the taste."
