Kaylee's got recipes to pick for a dinner party for way too many people.

She's got the purple sparkly handheld datapad in front of her, and a cup of coffee, and she's sifting through files.

(No messages for her at the bar; no waves on her pad; she'll assume all's well elsewhere until told otherwise.)

"There's a rare face," Sallie smiles, interrupting whatever has Kaylee staring at her datapad so thoroughly. She steps behind the bar - only just managing to not pull her sleeve down over her cast. She learned with Malcolm that omission is just as bad sometimes.

"Anything I can get you while I'm back here? Bar recommended this pomegranate soda that I can't stop havin'..."

Kaylee glances up -- and smiles. Even if it's a little sheepish. "Hey -- and xiexie, I think I'm good."

She rests her chin in her hand. "So what's new?"

Sallie holds up her cast while popping the top off her glass bottle of soda one-handed with the mounted barkey below the mahogany with a chagrined sort of expression.

"Taking care of things. I'm fine, it was just needed. But that's my big story for the moment."

Mostly.

"What about you?"

Kaylee's eyes widen. "Long as you're okay," she says, hesitant.

And if Sallie's trying to change the subject like that, that quickly, she gets the impression she shouldn't press further.

So she shrugs. "We're settlin' in. Simon's workin'. I got some irons in the fire but those are pretty long range, and we got to get settled in proper first, and I figure as long as I got the time and as long as I'm enjoyin' it, no reason I can't be the one to set up the house all nice-like."
