Dug has got his collar back! As the entire bar probably noticed, given how inclined he is to bouncing around and commenting on everything. But having it back means that he can CONVERSATE with people again, which makes him a very, very happy Dug indeed. No more sadfaces!

Well, not on Dug. There are probably sadfaces on the faces of the Oompa-Loompas

He is a damn mess, that's for sure.

Which is why Trudy is quickly sketching him (real pencils! real paper! Oh, Milliways is gonna be bad for her wallet) before he notices her.

Dug, despite being a dog and having an amazing sense of smell, is notoriously dim about things like recognizing people. So he meanders around, sniffing excitedly at a chair where someone interesting sat, giving the waitrats a warning growl, the usual stuff.

It's bringing him closer to her!

It's kinda glorious.

Sniff sniff sniff, goes Dug.

Sniff sniff sniffsniffsnorf? Snurfsnurfsniffsniff sniff.

Wander wander wand-

Sniffsniffsniff!

And he has officially noticed her presence, and is bounding over at top speed, collar happily narrating his thoughts. "Hello nice lady! I have not seen you! I got my collar back! What are you doing? Are you drawing? Is it a drawing of me? Can I see?"

"Hello! Sit!" Just because she adores him an unreasonable amount doesn't mean that she actually wants him to jump up and get mud (and other things) all over her.

"I'm drawing you. And," she turns the sketchbook around to show him. She's actually very good.

Dug's bum obediently slams down onto the ground, even as he strains himself to see the picture closer. It would probably help, to be honest, if he had semi-decent eyesight. But dogs are just not known for it.

It smells nice, though?

"Why are you drawing me? Master draws birds and skeletons and things he wants to put in his museum!" A sudden wary look. "I do not want to go in a museum."

"Oh, no, honey, I ain't puttin' you in a museum. I'm drawin' you because I like drawin'. And you're quite the picture right now."

[good_dug]

"I am?" Dug blinks, looking down at himself.

"I am a picture?"

[hallelujahpilot]

"You are.

'Cause I drew you," she adds, taking pity on his confusion.

[good_dug]

"Oh."

NOPE, STILL CONFUSED. Dug pants up at her with a look of bewildered non-understanding on his face.
