Sallie's in the bar, finally home from
the City, and looking not all that worse for wear. Maybe a little travel-weary, but that's nothing some stiff coffee wouldn't cure.
The book she is carrying gets left at the Bar for Charlie and she's on the customer side of things for the present.

"Good morning, Sallie. Can I get a peppermint tea?"

Sallie gets up to move behind the bar, but Bar herself beats Sallie to it, providing the tea alongside the coffee-table book on bioluminescent lakes that was probably unasked-for on Charlie's part.
Sallie makes a face at the bartop. She can still do her job.
A swirl of cream in Sallie's coffee makes a faint impression of a smile in reply.

A very tall blond man has been coming down, long hair and dark cloak swirling behind him.
At the foot of the stairs, stepping into the bar itself, he inexplicably falls over his own feet and ends up in a crumpled heap, which shakes a little like an iffy TV signal.
A tall blonde woman gets to her feet.

Her hands go to her throat. Then, she stares at her hands.

"I'm going to guess that the whole woman thing is a new deal for you."
