Moist has actually read through the entirety of that list the guy looking into the vampire problem gave him.
Well, nearly so, anyway. The damn thing's 40 pages long, and he's not exactly made of free time. But he's down toward the end now, which he figures has to count for something. He'll probably be done with it the next time he sees the guy

"Hello, Moist," Annabelle says with a smile. "Doing research?"

"Oh, hey, Annabelle. And... not exactly?" Moist isn't really sure what to call it, all things considered.
"I talked to someone who's looking into the vampire thing, and then I mentioned Cubefall, and he... gave me this. I really don't know what, if anything, it's supposed to help him figure out, but I figured I'd have a look at it, since he went to the trouble."

"It couldn't hurt, I suppose," Annabelle replies with a rueful smile. "It looks like a list of some kind," she says, peering at the papers.

"Oh yeah. Forty pages of... possibly the most random collection of questions ever."
He hands her the last page he looked at, before this one. "Here, have a look. I can't figure out what these things are supposed to help anyone figure out."

"Did you, at any time, taste the color green..." she reads off with a puzzled expression.

"Yeah, I don't know either."
And what about people who taste colors all the time? Synesthesia would seriously screw up that question.

"Presumably, that happened at some point," Annabelle says with a shake of her head.

"This one makes more sense: Did you experience the sensation of time slowing down or speeding up?"

"It does, but it's a tricky one to frame, around here. Does time stopping outside your door count? Or in my world's case, what about Doc's Freeze Ray?"
Moist kinda thinks this guy is trying to put Milliways into a box it's... not going to fit into. But sometimes, you just have to humor the crazy.

"Everything is tricky to frame around here," Annabelle replies with a grin.

"True. And, well, some days just feel like they go by faster than others."
It's a thing, really.

"That they do," Annabelle agrees. "When you're stuck doing something you hate, the day seems to last a week instead of 24 hours."

"Exactly." So really, it's sort of a flawed question all around.
"...'Did you hear disco when no source of music was on?' What, did they go to Studio 54 or something?"
Moist has no idea how right he is.

No, he doesn't. And if a certain plot goes down, Annabelle may end up being way too familiar with the effects of the Studio 54 Disco Ball.

"I've never even heard of Disco," Annabelle says with a shake of her head.

"It's... kind of a terrible excuse for music. Big thing, right before I was born."
He's glad he missed the worst of it.

"After my time, probably," Annabelle says with a small smile. "It's good to know that I didn't miss much in that particular case."

Moist eyes what's left of the List (it really does deserve a capital letter). "Fortunately, I don't have much of this left."
