"Maybe you should sit down and we can figure this out together. Were you with Evan or Joe when last you remember?" Val's voice is very business like and protective to hide the edge of worry. Is Coreen looking paler than usual?

She is starting to look pale. Her neck has wounds...

Assuming Coreen listens, she'll feel one of Val's force fields form around her like a custom made chair.
"And here," she continues holding out a handkerchief, "press this against your neck right there."

"Superheroes," she says with a lopsided grin, as she curls up a little, pressing Val's handkerchief to her neck.

"Is anyone here?" she calls once they get through the doors.

"I just woke up next to an open window upstairs. I...think I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk...but I don't remember."

"I'm fine, Val. I just feel a little like I've given blood, and then...like, I got really drunk afterwards, so kinda hungover."

"Oh yeah? That sounds...do you think it'd be a good idea?"

Val pauses and then offers a weak smile. "I'm sorry. You're wounded and I'm dumping on you. DO you want me to send a wait-rat for Joe? Let him know you're down here."

"Val, honey, I think you should at least try. I mean, you owe it to yourself to have a chance, even if...well, your family doesn't quite understand the circumstances. You're a wonderful person, and you deserve to have some measure of your family."
She waves her hand.
"I'll go back up soon enough. He's probably still asleep, and well, there's not a lot that can be done."
