She resists the urge to circle around and poke at his shoulder blades. And the urge to comment on his lack of wings. Which leaves her with: "Uh, how is that?"
She could poke. He might not even take it amiss. But while Castiel does have wings, he will not show them here. There are too many people who could be damaged.
Castiel is not sure what to make of the second question.
"How is being an angel? I was kinda figuring you guys didn't exist," Buffy muses, switching her attention to his halo-less hair. "I only ever seem to run into demons."
A pause.
"Which I guess makes sense, because I don't live on a Heavenmouth."
So, it's a pretty good bet that the answer to that is 'no.'
"And....I am an angel," he adds lamely.
It is not something to like or dislike. It is his nature. What he is.
Castiel feels on a bit more firmer ground with the rest.
"That is to be expected. My kind have not walked upon the Earth for many centuries. Demons, on the other hand, have maintained a presence, seeking to corrupt humanity."
"The demons I've run into aren't really into the corruption of humanity," Buffy explains, with a lopsided shrug. "Sometimes the eating of humanity, sometimes the destruction of other demons, sometimes the creation of demon-human hybrid armies, but corruption -- I think that's too subtle for most of them."
"You are correct, though. There are demons and other creatures that engage in the other acts you speak of. But consuming human beings, or attempting to change their nature--these are violations, corruptions as well."
He looks at her with interest.
"You know a good deal of demons."
A hunter, clearly enough. Some version of one, anyway.
"The ones who are trying to create an army of demon-human hybrids are pretty dangerous too," Buffy protests. "I had to pull a nuclear thingy out of his chest. What if it gave me radiation poisoning?"
She hesitates -- just a moment -- and nods. "I'm the Slayer." And looks expectant again.
"Next time you could maybe shout 'incoming'?" she constructively criticizes.
Reply
"Incoming what?"
It's possible that he hasn't seen a lot of war movies.

It's something of an accomplishment--getting that countenance to crack.
He draws himself up as straight as his vessel will go.
"No," he says.
Emphatically.

"So what are you...?" she prompts, after a moment's pause. "Or should I keep guessing? My next guess is man-witch, if that influences your vote."
Reply
"I am an Angel of the Lord."
Just to circumvent any more guessing.
It just seems wise, given the general direction.

"Seriously."
He certainly sounds serious.

Hence, many versions of the Earth. It's not something that Castiel pondered much before Milliways, but nothing is beyond the Power of God.
Castiel shakes his head.
"We cannot. We have our orders, and they are to not interfere."

There are similar efforts being made on Castiel's Earth, though to what exact end, no one knows.
And Castiel is not sure that atomic power would be effective to combat it.
He nods at the young woman's explanation. Silent. For several moments.
"...because you slay demons?" he finally asks.
