Tonight we have a Ryu Hayabusa by the fireplace, with tea; doing nothing really special but watching the room at large.

Maybe he is looking for some people, and if he is, it is probable he is looking for his students. But any of his friends is also obviously welcome to come join him.

Or strangers too. The young man enjoys meeting new people.

This is probably not his night.

He has been spotted by a certain could've-been rock star (carrying a bottle of beer, and dressed today in tight jeans, Chuck Taylors and a faded Ziggy Stardust t-shirt).

"I'm sorry to hear about your tragic car accident," she says in a monotone, as she approaches.

Ryu raises a brow at her. "Hedwig."

"I have not seen you in a long while. I was imagining if you had moved to another world."

[singintheoven]

"Well, of course," she says. "It's so easy to do that when you're dead, you know. Oh wait--that's right, you don't know. You're alive, you can go wherever you want."

[falconryu]

"And this is the point where I am wrong." He tilts head. "You think I purposefully ignored and abandoned you."

"Hedwig, there is anything I can say to prove that was not what happened? Will you believe me if I say I did look for you, but you were never here?"

Dinah's been living in Okinawa for a couple of months now, and it's nothing unusual or her to come to the bar in the robes she wears all day in the dojo - she certainly wears them comfortably.

She joins Ryu as soon as she notices him, with tea of her own that she sets down before bowing.

Dinah's presence is more than welcome: Ryu smiles to her, bowing in return. "Hello."

"Hi, Ryu," she says, with a particularly American grin, sitting right down next to him. "I haven't seen you in ages; how're you?"

"I am well, and yourself?"

He shakes head a bit. "Milliways seem to be conspiring to separate people... have a few friends I have not seen in a while."

[mallory_grace]

Mallory storms through the door and kicks it behind her with a slam. She normally doesn't swear much, as a general rule, but the language she uses as she marches toward the bar would make a truck driver blush. It should be noted that her right arm is in a cast, and she's cradling it to her body with the other.

When she spots Ryu, her lip quivers slightly, and she pivots on her foot and heads for him, instead.

That surprises him, and Ryu gets up to meet her. "Mallory-chan. What happened?"

"I got hit by a @#$%! car. Then, after sitting in the ER for seven hours, I slipped on the ice in the parking lot and fell."

She carefully leans into him.

"It's been a bad day."

[falconryu]

He frowns, slipping arms around her tenderly, nuzzling her hair. "I'm sorry... you saw the license?"
