It's been damn cold in London, meaning the streets are emptier than normal. Thin crowds aren't the best situation if you're looking to pick pockets -- but they make your chances of picking up odd jobs much better, thanks to the lack of competition. Kim's managed to run errands for people in the market every day this week, earning a few pence here and there, and even managed to nick dinner yesterday from Fleet Market (the better to save her money).
Today, Harry the sawyer had her hold his horses for a few minutes while he ducked into a pub to warm up, and gave her a whole shilling for it. When she comes into Milliways, her cheeks and fingers are red with cold -- but she's wearing an uncharacteristically cheerful expression.
She orders hot cider from the bar and takes it over to the hearth, wrapping her fingers around the cup and basking in the warmth.
[ooc: In and out for a bit, so expect slowtime, but I'm open for tags forever!]
