Before he left Sameth dropped a few notes at the Bar and a small mechanical dragon, they took a while to write but they're done. each of them is sealed with wax and the one for his mother also has a simple Charter spell that their family uses.
Dear Mother,
Mogget has made clear to me that I have to do something to make sure his past and our past balances. To satisfy him, I promised that I would not search out doors yet I also would not ignore them. For that reason, I'm going home and hoping that its not too long before I can return here. I'm not sure whether I'll see you first there or here and I will do my best to give you little reason to be disappointed in me.

I wish I'd been able to see you before I left but I know what duty can be like for you. I've gone home to try and do what I need to do and I hope that its not too long before the time is proper for me to find a door again. Your birthday present is coming with me and I'm going to put it on the mantel in my workshop. Thank you and I'll miss you.

I finished the dragon, I wasn't able to make it answer because there was no way to key it to your nephew's voice. At the moment, it will come when called and perhaps after I return, I can shift it to only answer to him. I hope he likes it.
