Liz's only reaction, upon stepping through the door and finding her head suddenly light, is to say, "This better not be permanent."
Whoever is in charge of the costuming wisely does not go any farther in changing her clothes, and does not vanish her holstered gun. The short spiky hair is ... quite a look, when combined with the skinny black pants, asymmetrical black leather jacket, combat boots, utility belt, and the aforementioned Beretta. It may look like it, but this is not a costume. Liz has had her fill of costumes for the weekend.
In short order, she's sitting in an armchair -- more sprawled than sitting -- with her legs across the coffee table, and she is making grim work of a beer while staring into the fire.
When you work for a government agency that investigates reported paranormal sightings, Halloween is a cranky day.
It bears mentioning that she is covered, shoulders to toes, in thick cobwebs. There's one thing the hair change did for her, at least.
