Off near the back of the Bar, where it won't be (too) loud, there is a large TV - about 50". There's a DVD player hooked up to it, and a box of DVDs. The DVDs include such classics as the entire Wednesday the 15th series, that modern masterpiece Rake, and Wendy the Werewolf Stalker - not the cool TV show but the craptastic film with Swanny

The screen catches Sameth's attention at one point when he's fiddling with his new arm and he comes over to look at the stack of movies,

"Is this some sort of small Odeon?"

[says_the_booyah]

"It's called a TV. It's like a movie screen, sort of." Pause. "That is a very wild robot arm. Very...what do they call that on the Net? Steamtech?" He's not up on his fannish terms.

[makesthings]

"I've never seen one so small before. Thanks, I don't normally have it but I'm trying to figure it out."

[says_the_booyah]

"You don't usually have an arm there?" Someone like him, maybe. "And this is big for a TV. Just small for a movie screen. Similar but different."

[makesthings]

"I do, usually I have a regular arm, but I like making things like this so I'm trying to figure it out."

[says_the_booyah]

There's a bit of a pause. "Gotta say, Halloween or not, that's a little cruel. Last thing I would wish on anyone is losing an arm." For just a moment, a cloud passes over Cy's face.

"I don't know, its odd but mainly I'm curious about how and why its made how it is."

[says_the_booyah]

"Well, if you're cool with it, I can try to help. It looks a whole lot more primitive than mine, but I know machines.

"Or you can just pick a movie." Thing about Cy is that he's pretty laid back about things sometimes. No point in getting bent out of shape if it won't do any good.

"I think I am, you see I make things like this so I can already see some improvements. A movie would be nice too, the last one I saw at the Odeon was a Western one, are there any good scary things with cowboys?"

[says_the_booyah]

"There have got to be some. Let me look." He thinks he bought one once. "Got it! Vampires of the Purple Sage. It's got Old West desperadoes saving a town from vamps. A bit campy, but fun. If it's the film I think it is." He could be thinking of Vsmpires of Arizona.

"I'm Cyborg."

"I'm Sameth. That sounds like a good one."

[says_the_booyah]

"I know that name. That weird dead Goth guy mentioned you. Said you mix tech and magic." He sounds quite intrigued.

And he loads the film. Skipping to the feature, the logo for Rock Castle Films appears in all its mock-medieval glory.

"Oh Teja, yes I work in the forge beside him. Most of what I make is more like this, clockwork instead of the kind of tech it looks like you know."

[says_the_booyah]

"I didn't know there was a forge. I'll have to check it out." Having spent a week in the distant past once, he knows a little about such things.

"So you've seen cowboy films but not much else?" Cy sits, takes some popcorn, and adjusts the volume to nearly Loud.

[makesthings]

"I only went to the Odeon once in Somersby and it was a film about cowboys. Yes, its outside near the stables, I like working there."

[says_the_booyah]

"Where's Somersby? England?" Odeon sounds like a very English word.
