New Recruit Tryouts today! Please come test our volunteers.
Guppy finishes putting the poster up, then turns around to his new recruits. He smiles slightly nervously, then gives his briefing.
"Thank you for volunteering and coming today. As you should already know, I'm looking to appoint up to three official leaders, but regardless of whether or not you are successful it would be lovely to see the rest of you on an unofficial basis. As far as I can tell so far, you're all great candidates, and it's going to be a tough choice, so please don't feel disheartened if I don't choose you."
He finishes arranging the plates of food on the table - standard Life Support Fare, biscuits, cakes, fruits, tea, etc. He then passes a box of Celebrations to each, in thanks for them turning up today.
"I'll be mostly observing you with the guests, unless nobody turns up, in which case I'll be observing you interacting with each other or me. Likewise if there's only one or two people, please don't all swamp them - two or three of you, one or two at a time, is fine! The number of guests you manage to see each will not be a factor; I also want to see how you work with other leaders. If at any point you feel out of your depth or have any questions, you will not be penalised for seeking help or advice from me or one of the other volunteers."
He sits down. "I'll be over here if you want me, otherwise, let's get going."
