Anita is looking over a small stack of books. She'd promised Nathaniel they'd have new reading material, and so she's trying to pick an order to the books she's chosen.

But she's distracted.

She's been distracted since spending an evening with Damian (or, if she were honest, she'd say she's been distracted since her night with Jean-Claude and Asher, but she's not being honest yet), and Anita's not really liking the scattered mind she's been left with. Without his calming influence, her brain is in overdrive. Anita, as usual, is overthinking everything, every decision and every definition.

It's a state she's accustomed to, but not one she much likes.
