Meanwhile there is someone with a Security badge sitting very close by.

She has superhearing.

And she has met both of them before.

Which is why she looks up, head tilting as she studies them.

"Wesley. Angel."

Beat.

"You are friends?"

"Sure," Angel smiles. "Wes and I go way back."

"Well, I mean... Not way back."

"Yes," Wesley replies. "I'm afraid I only came along in the twentieth century."

"How are you?"

"And you are dead," X says.

"It is not a limiting factor?"

Beat.

"I am okay. Not busy."

[slayedthedragon]

"Well...undead."

Wesley smiles and turns back to X. "Angel and I have been colleagues and friends for some time. We work together."

"Here?" X asks, curious.

"Or at home?"

It is a relevant question.

"Home, for the most part. Our world has more than its share of demons and other supernatural threats."

There hasn't been much for them to do here, other than return Wesley to life. But, perhaps, that might change now. For Angel at least.

"How busy does it get?" Angel asks. "For Security, I mean."

"My world is like that, too," X offers.

"And there are aliens."

She pauses then, considering Angel's question.

"It is quiet most of the time."

Beat.

"I have made several arrests. Some people are very stupid."

Or angry.

"You are good at fighting? And not getting hurt?"

"Yeah. Very good."

At both, really. Provided there aren't any stakes.

"Good," X says. Firmly.

"That will be useful. Some patrons are hard to kill, too."

Beat.

"And they fight back."

Angel nods. "I get a lot of that."

"Is it the same people causing most of the trouble?"

That would make things a little easier.

"Sometimes."

X sounds a little frustrated.

"Ruin goads people. It is problematic."

Beat.

"Ramon does, too. But he is human."

[dark_ex_watcher]

Wesley sighs. "Rather disappointed I never made the list."

"Wes," Angel mumbles, then looks back to X.

"I think I know who Ramon is. Not Ruin, though. Are there photographs in the Office or something?"

X flicks a look at Wesley.

"You could hit me. Or Angel. And I could arrest you."

Beat.

"Then you would be a troublemaker."

Was that --

A joke?

"But it would not be very impressive."

[slayedthedragon]

Angel smirks. "Oh, he's a troublemaker all right."

Wesley gives him a look.

"So is there anything else I should be doing? Besides fighting and not getting hurt?"

"File reports. On time."

Beat.

"And take photos of crime scenes. When it is relevant."

Beat.

"And pay attention."

"Ah," Wesley is pleased. "Paperwork you won't be able to delegate. Excellent."
