Cal's neighborhood has quite a few dog owners. Seeing them out and about has reminded him of his plans to get a dog once he'd moved. He's been meaning to take care of some other things first, but - it's all been bewildering, a little (or a lot), and he feels like he's going in circles just trying to find a place to start

It is, at least, a more manageable amount of information than what he's been trying to get into so far.

Not that he's sure how; he has canine experience, but he found his dog in an alley, and never really kept him as a proper pet.

"You might be able to help me train him," he offers, "once I get him." Enzo already has a dog, after all, even if one of Frisket's temperament is not what Cal is looking for.

Frisket was never trained, in the sense usually meant, but if Enzo could get him to not be a constant menace to society, he can surely handle the more mundane training of a lesser more docile pooch.
