"I find it's a good idea every few days," Nikola says, glancing up from his work with a smile.

Nikola shrugs. "I don't like to stick around too long in other people's beds."

"I did, and you should really stop asking me that."

He turns the laptop so Ganymede can have a better look. "It's a laptop computer."

A fairly clunky one too. Nikola's still in the nineties.

"It's a device for storing, organizing, analyzing and working with data. Also, you can play video games on it."

"Animated games," Nikola says again. "When did you say you were from?"

Nikola tries to remember what the technology was then. "Pinball, mostly, then. Which was a sort of precursor to video games. I believe they really started taking off in the seventies."

Nikola laughs. "And I can't remember how we ever did without them."
